1999-2008
In 1999 designer Katherine Berquin founds Berquin Jewels. By collaborating with a network of jewellery professionals she was able to produce high quality jewellery. Next to designing tailor made pieces, Katherine provided gemmology services and gave lectures about the great variety in gemstones.
2008-2013
Berquin Jewels outgrew its own capacities. To cover this flow of demand it expanded by renting a separate atelier and hiring a business manager and an in house goldsmith. During this time both the REFLECTION series and the WOW series were designed to become Berquins’ signature collection. Regular exhibitions were hosted by Berquin jewels to showcase the new designs.
2013-Now
Berquin Jewels is presented with a new journey: opening a shop in the Sablon area in Brussels. The House of Berquin takes its vision of daring design to a new level. It invites an international team of passionate professionals to establish a strong foundation for the company together.
The WOW series invites people to envision jewellery in daring and unexpected ways. It shows Berquin’s readiness to jump into the creative unknown with chic designs. Ultimately, the WOW series asks you to dream again of what could be possible in jewellery.
The REFLECTION series brings jewellery with gemstones in a human setting. By wearing them, you complete the form and functionality of this jewellery. The exchangeable system used by Berquin Jewels allows you to adapt and modify stones, pendants and clasps in an easy, safe and elegant way. Together, you and the jewel complete each other.
